Principals of Men's Fashion

Men's week day 3 coming at you a little later than usual, but it's contents are worth the wait. I know from experience that girls have fashion fundamentals they can't live without; some might say theirs is a pair of leggings, others might fancy a cozy knit cardigan instead. I found out what it is guys say are their must-haves every winter season. Here were the top picks modeled by Sabino Castelluccio:

Khakis:

sweater: armani exchange
khakis: h&m
shoes: sperry

Everyone loves a classic and whether they be dark or light, brown or white, khakis are the ultimate fix to any outfit in need of a break from jeans.

Button-down shirts:

shirt: kohl's
cardigan: flea market
jeans: express
shoes: palladium

The best part about button-down shirts is that there are so many different ways to wear them. They can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned, under crewnecks or cardigans and depending on what pants are put on, can be part of a dressy or casual outfit.

Beanies:

beanie: armani exchange
scarf: armani exchange
shirt: h&m
khakis: h&m
boots: timberland

The beanie is the perfect winter accessory in the way it keeps you hot in every sense of the word. When paired with a matching scarf, you have style and a shield against cold weather that goes well with any kind of outfit.

V neck sweaters:

sweater: h&m
jeans: pac sun
sneakers: vans
hat: new era

The simplicity of the v neck is the best part about it. Get one in a handful of colors and you have more ways to make an outfit than anyone can carry. These are another awesome staple because of the versatility of them. Wear them with jeans, khakis, colored pants, sneakers, boots, button downs...the list goes on and on. Be sure to slip a little red in any outfit this season guys.. get into the holiday spirit!

Gentltemen, if your closet is missing even one of these essentials, odds are you'll run out of nice things to wear in your very near future. Guys who have none of these in your closet: test one or two out before realizing what you've been missing out on for so long.
